Vice President, Marketing and Communications
As Vice President, Marketing and Communications, Ms. Maseda-Sainz oversees the development and implementation of branding and communication strategies that further the foundation’s work in Florida. By leveraging a variety of media channels, Ms. Maseda-Sainz increases the visibility of Helios’ philanthropic investments among various stakeholders and community leaders.
Prior to Helios Education Foundation, Ms. Maseda-Sainz led various marketing initiatives for Hillsborough County Public Schools, including the implementation of Edsby, the school district’s parent communication platform. Additionally, Ms. Maseda-Sainz enjoyed a tenured career at the Tampa Bay Times where she also held strategic marketing and communication roles.
Ms. Maseda-Sainz has held numerous leadership positions throughout her career. Ms. Maseda-Sainz is a member of the leadership council of LEAP, Tampa Bay's College Access Network, where she serves as co-chair of the network's communications committee, and is a board member of the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida. Previous leadership roles include chairperson of the City of Tampa Mayor’s Hispanic Advisory Council, University of South Florida Latin Community Advisory Committee, chair of the board of trustees for SERVE, Volunteers in Education, and chairperson of the board of directors for Kid City.
Ms. Maseda-Sainz holds the designation of APR, Accredited in Public Relations, from the Public Relations Society of America, is a graduate of Saint Leo University with a Bachelor’s degree in Management and completed graduate studies at the University of South Florida obtaining a Master of Science in Management.
