Elyssa Bustamante
Administrative Assistant
Elyssa Bustamante is an administrative assistant supporting the finance and administration departments. This includes assistance with events in the campus public meeting space.
Prior to joining Helios, Ms. Bustamante worked for Xico Inc, an arts organization for Latino and Indigenous artists many of whose works hang in the Helios Phoenix campus. She worked with staff and vendors to produce fundraising events (live & virtual). Ms. Bustamante also worked at Arizona State University. During this time, she organized small and large-scale events including: Hispanic Convocation for over 500 college students, Viva CCLI, and Devils in Training, among others. She also managed and coordinated ASU César E. Chávez Leadership Institute -- a residential summer program for 60 high school students.
Ms. Bustamante received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Chicano/a Studies from Arizona State University. While at Arizona State University Ms. Bustamante founded the Pi Delta Chapter of Sigma Lambda Gamma Nat’l Sorority and is now a member of the Southern Arizona Alumnae Association. Ms. Bustamante is a graduate of the Valle del Sol Hispanic Leadership Institute and a She Se Puede, Power Squad Member.
