Paul G. Perrault, Ph.D.
Senior Vice President, Community Impact and Learning
As Senior Vice President, Community Impact and Learning for Helios Education Foundation, Dr. Perrault is charged with leading the development of Helios' research and evaluation agenda, and managing the grants and project management team.
Dr. Perrault comes to Helios with more than 20 years of research and evaluation experience. Prior to joining Helios, he was a research scientist at the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan where he served as a lead investigator on multiple projects including Arizona’s Move On When Ready evaluation and as principal investigator on the Ready Now Yuma evaluation.
Dr. Perrault received his Ph.D. in Educational Foundations and Policy with a specialization in research methodology at the University of Michigan along with two Masters Degrees, one in Educational Administration and another in Secondary Certification. He also earned a JD at the University of Detroit Mercy and a BA in Journalism at Michigan State University.
Dr. Perrault currently serves on the Fellows Council for Arizona’s prestigious Flinn-Brown Civic Leadership Academy and as a Council Member for the ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation. More recently he was selected as a fellow of Valley Leadership – Class 40. Prior to these roles, he served on the Board of Touchstone Health Services and co-chaired Grantmakers for Education's Data Impact Group.
Outside of Helios, Dr. Perrault continues to teach. Most recently he has taught Social Impact Measurement, Advanced Grant Development, Grant Development for State and Foundations, as well as courses for Nonprofit Executive Leadership at Arizona State University. He also teaches Educational Finance at the University of Florida.
