Helios Education Foundation's statement on the passage of Prop 308

Helios Education Foundation is pleased to see the passage of Proposition 308 in Arizona, and we congratulate the strong bipartisan campaign—led by education, business, faith, and civic leaders—that secured its success.

The passage of Prop 308 this year indicates that Arizonans see the expansion of education as a benefit for all of our residents as well as for our state. Helios is heartened by this public statement of what Arizonans say Arizona wants to be—an inclusive community that keeps all of our high school graduates in Arizona, sets them up for jobs in Arizona, and keeps them contributing to Arizona’s economy.

There is a lot of work to be done to secure this future for Arizona. But the passage of Prop 308 is a positive step forward—not only for DREAMers but for a more robust Arizona.
