Students, parents and educational institutions can utilize these resources for the latest FAFSA® form

Since the release of the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form, there has been uncertainty around who can apply, when and how. Keep reading to receive the latest FAFSA announcements and explore resources from Arizona, Florida and the Federal Student Aid office.  

FAFSA announcements: 

  • November, 21, 2024: U.S. Department of Education announced that the 2025-26 FAFSA application is available to all students and families, 10 days before its Dec. 1 goal.
  • August 8, 2024: U.S. Department of Education will make the 2025-26 FAFSA application available to all students on or before Dec. 1, 2024.

Federal FAFSA completion deadline:

The 2025-26 FAFSA form must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Central time (CT) on June 30, 2026. Any corrections or updates must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. (CT) on Sept. 13, 2026.

NCAN's FAFSA Tracker: See your state's FAFSA completion rate for the current school year.

NCAN 2025-26 FAFSA Page: NCAN launched a resource page for members and partners with essential tools and information necessary to aid in FAFSA completion.

#DotheFAFSA Campaign: Helios partnered with NCAN to launch a national digital campaign to mobilize students to complete the FAFSA. You can download and share the social media press kit with your online audience.

National FAFSA resources 

Arizona FAFSA completion deadline:

  • Arizona Promise Program: For priority consideration, submit your application by April 1, 2025.
  • All other aid: Check with the financial aid office at the college or career school you plan to attend. Additional forms may be required.

Arizona FAFSA Hotline - Call 1-833-293-2372 for help with FAFSA completion, college applications and next steps for enrollment. Open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

College Ready AZ offers resources to plan for college at Arizona's public universities. 

  • For high schools and districts: Arizona College Connect is an innovative FAFSA database that provides authorized high school and district personnel with their student-level FAFSA data. 

Ask Benji - A free, 24/7 FAFSA support to help Arizona families fill out the FAFSA and access thousands of dollars of grants, loans, and scholarships to help pay for education after high school. 

AzCAN FAFSA Resource Hub - Arizona College Access Network (AzCAN) lists training webinars, toolkits, alerts and more.

Florida FAFSA completion deadline:

Submit your application by May 15, 2025 (date processed). Check with the financial aid office at the college or career school you plan to attend. Additional forms may be required.

FCAN resources - College Ready Florida is a series of four statewide initiatives aimed at supporting a college-going culture by helping students plan for their futures, navigate the college-going process, and access and complete a postsecondary education. 

Florida FAFSA Challenge - Florida College Access Network (FCAN) started the Florida FAFSA Challenge in 2015 to encourage all Florida schools and districts to increase FAFSA completion by 5 percentage points over the previous year. The Florida FAFSA Challenge provides schools and communities with free resources, promotional materials and updates on the latest FAFSA information. 

LEAP Tampa Bay’s FAFSA comprehensive guide, workshops and webinars - Explore LEAP Tampa Bay’s comprehensive FAFSA guide that answers commonly asked questions and provides key dates. LEAP also offers workshops and webinars for parents and students with available professionals to assist with FAFSA form completion. 

Florida Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (FASFAA) - The FASFAA provides a list of resources for families and students including access to FAFSA completion events, information on how to avoid financial aid and scholarship scams, and a variety of scorecards and calculators to compare colleges.
