Ready Now Yuma Initiative Launches New Resource for Students, Families and Educators

Helios Education Foundation and Yuma Union High School District are working to ensure every student in the district is prepared to succeed in college and career. The Ready Now Yuma initiative provides all students with a rigorous, high expectations curriculum as well as works to create a college-going culture throughout the district. 

In order to help achieve those goals, a new website – - was recently launched to provide information and resources to students, families, educators and the community on Ready Now Yuma.

A key component of the site is the Resource Center which highlights the different pathways available to students, college and career planning tools and information on testing and scholarships.

In addition, the site provides the opportunity to:

  • Learn More about Ready Now Yuma: Get a quick overview of the initiative, explore the frequently asked questions and learn more about the partnership between Helios Education Foundation and Yuma Union High School District.
  • Get Connected, Stay Informed, and Celebrate Successes: Read the Ready Now Yuma blog with content that brings Ready Now Yuma to life.Some upcoming features include a visual tour of a Cambridge classroom, interviews with students and teachers, and tips for students and families in planning the way to college and career.
  • Plan for College and Career Success: Explore the Ready Now Resource Center to learn more about the internationally benchmarked Cambridge Curriculum and college and career planning tools.
  • Become a Champion: Sign up to get regular updates on Ready Now Yuma, request a presentation, or share the initiative through Facebook and Twitter. 

The site was recently featured in the Yuma Sun.
