Walter Jennings
Director, Student Success Initiatives - Florida
Walter Jennings is a Director of Student Success Initiatives for Florida. In this role, he serves as co-lead in specific community investment and engagement to accelerate improving outcomes for low-income and Black students. He contributes to the Foundation’s Florida initiative by providing opportunities for increased access and academic support within educational systems to facilitate entry, persistence and completion.
Prior to joining Helios, Mr. Jennings served as Associate Director of Diversity Initiatives in the University of South Florida Foundation. One of his primary responsibilities in this role was Program Director of the Black Leadership Network-a partnership-based group focused on engaging the community and enhancing the educational and leadership opportunities for black scholars.
Mr. Jennings holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU).
