Annual Report Highlights


"My name is Tina Bullock, and I’m a fourth year student concentrating in Biology." Tina is a recipient of Helios Education Foundation’s First Generation Scholarship program and is studying at New College in Sarasota, Florida. The Foundation invested $10 million in Florida’s public universities and colleges for first generation college students. The program provides scholarships and often academic support for first generation students.

Florida Governor Charlie Crist presented Helios Education Foundation with the Champion of Children Award at the Take Stock in Children 2008 “Rally in Tally” on the steps of Florida’s Old Capitol building. Helios Education Foundation Chairman Vince Roig (far left) accepted the award on behalf of the Foundation.
