Congratulations to Gina Thompson, Yuma Union High School District’s (YUHSD) new superintendent.  Ms. Thompson was selected by the District’s board to be the new leader after the retirement of Toni Badone last summer.

Ms. Thompson has worked for the District for 28 years and most recently held the position of Associate Superintendent.  Ms. Thompson has been instrumental in the implementation of Ready Now Yuma, the partnership between Helios and YUHSD which focuses on ensuring all 11,000 students in the District are prepared for success in college and career.

“We look forward to a continued partnership with Yuma Union High School District and Superintendent Thompson,” said Vince Yanez, Senior Vice President, Arizona Community Engagement at Helios.  “We remain committed to the Ready Now Yuma initiative and helping ensure all Yuma students graduate prepared to succeed in college and career.”
