Helios Education Foundation is Committed to Florida's Future
Author: Helios Education Foundation
Helios Education Foundation is committed to ensuring every individual in Arizona and Florida has the opportunity to attend and is prepared to succeed in postsecondary education.
In Florida, Helios’ commitment to student success is exemplified by a focus on the state’s three most populous metro areas of Tampa, Orlando and Miami. These three metropolitan areas not only represent the largest proportion of the state’s population, but also the largest number of postsecondary degree seeking students.
Helios is committed to ensuring Florida’s workforce, by way of postsecondary degree attainment, is poised to meet the challenges of the global economy and empowered to attract and retain high-quality jobs in the Sunshine State now and into the future.
Helios Education Foundation is based upon four core beliefs…
- We believe that education changes lives and strengthens communities. The impact of education is felt not only by the individual attaining a postsecondary degree, but also by his or her family and community.
- We believe education is an investment and not an expense. The benefit of an educated workforce yields dividends both in direct and indirect ways.
- We believe that every student, regardless of zip code, deserves a high-quality education. We know that education has the power to lift livelihoods and open the doors of opportunity for everyone, particularly first-generation, low-income underrepresented students.
- We believe we will achieve our mission through partnership and collaboration. We rely on our partners to help us create opportunities for students to succeed. Through partnerships we collaborate, convene and pool our ideas, leverage our resources and yield more effective results.
Helios proudly invests our knowledge, expertise and resources across the education continuum to advance student academic preparedness and to foster a college-going culture that leverages education for individual and community success.
