Dr. Stacy Carlson Transitions to the Florida Philanthropic Network

A sad farewell and hearty congratulations to Vice President and Program Director, College and Career Readiness, Dr. Stacy Carlson, who will leave Helios Education Foundation to become President and CEO of the Florida Philanthropic Network (FPN). Dr. Carlson’s last day with the Foundation is Friday, April 8.

Dr. Carlson has been with Helios since early 2008 and has become a true asset to the organization, bringing content expertise to the College and Career Readiness portfolio, further maximizing the impact of those programs.

“During her tenure, Dr. Carlson brought critical thinking skills and excellent coaching to partner organizations, maximizing the Foundation’s College and Career Ready investments. We will miss her upon her transition to FPN.” said Senior Vice President and Chief Impact Officer, Linda Thompson.

FPN is a statewide membership network of nearly 120 philanthropic organizations working to build philanthropy to build a better Florida. Its foundation members invest in a variety of programs and initiatives throughout the state to improve the quality of life of its citizens. In addition, FPN connects Florida grant makers to each other through educational programs, networking, regional convenings, online opportunities and much more.

Dr.  Carlson has close to 10 years of experience in foundation development and capacity building, having been a founding member of the Helios Education Foundation’s Florida initiative. Dr. Carlson previously served as Consortium of Florida Education Foundations executive director, where she spearheaded the group's legislative and funding initiatives, advocated for education policy and helped member foundations build organizational capacity.

The board and staff of Helios Education Foundation wish Dr. Stacy Carlson continued success as she leads the Florida Philanthropic Network.
