Dr. Jo Anne Vasquez Transitions to New Role as Full-Time Consultant
Author: Helios Education Foundation
Dr. Jo Anne Vasquez, Helios Education Foundation’s Vice President of Educational Practices, will be leaving her full time role with Helios at the end of September to focus on full-time consulting and writing in the areas of STEM education and teaching practice.
She has worked with Helios for nearly seven years and during that time her voice was instrumental in the development of the Foundation’s investments, especially with a focus on STEM education. Dr. Vasquez’s expertise has been valuable in helping provide teachers and other educational leaders with the tools they need to better integrate STEM education into the classroom.
Dr. Vasquez will continue to lend her expertise to Helios in a consulting capacity and will work with other national and international organizations to help students develop the skills necessary to succeed in a 21st century global economy.
“We want to thank Dr. Vasquez for her commitment to the work of Helios,” said Linda Thompson, Senior Vice President and Chief Impact Officer. “She has been a valued member of our team for close to seven years and her work has been critical in helping raise the level of classroom instruction in STEM. We will miss not having her with us on a daily basis, but are excited that she will continue to be involved in our work as a consultant.”
